What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a type of skin rejuvenation and collagen induction therapy, in which very fine, short needles are inserted into the skin to stimulate natural collagen and elastin production. This treatment has been made famous for at-home kits made with handheld dermal rollers.

Our Technology

At Elite Spa Group we offer microneedling sessions using the power of the advanced eDermaStamp® system. Developed by DermaSpark, this revolutionary microneedling device features the industry’s highest quality, medical grade, sterile needles that are optimally placed on the skin for precise penetration while upholding maximum safety standards. With the fastest motor on the current market, this device offers sublime results without unnecessary tearing or ripping of the skin (as is done with its imitators).

What Does Microneedling Treat?

There are many skin issues microneedling works to rectify, such as (but not limited to):

  • Wrinkles
  • Fine lines
  • Scars
  • Acne scarring
  • Stretch marks
  • Loss of volume
  • Crepey or loose skin
  • General uneven skin texture

How Does Microneedling Work?

The way the eDermaStamp® works is to cause minimally invasive and very precise micro-injuries in the dermis and epidermis, without causing open wounds or ablative damage. These small poked holes will close quickly, as they will trigger the body’s natural healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production in the treated area.

Both collagen and elastin are essential skin proteins that give the skin a youthful bounce and supple texture. As we age, they start to diminish in their production, making way for signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, loss of volume and crepey skin. With microneedling these signs are significantly reduced through the stimulation of healthy cell regeneration. Wrinkles are reduced, loose skin is tightened and firmed, and scars can be naturally refilled.

The entire process is threefold:

Treatment: eDermastamp®’s microneedles reach deep into the dermis to trigger the body’s natural healing response.

Healing: Within only minutes of treatment, the small holes will start to close and the area will flush with growth-promoting properties.

Youthful Skin: New collagen and elastin fibres will have formed, creating thicker and more supple skin.

Microneedling FAQ

Although improvement can be seen after only one microneedling treatment, we do generally recommend three total (spaced about 4-6 weeks apart) for optimal results. In the case of more severe scarring or deep set lines and wrinkles, more treatments may be necessary.
Immediately after treatment skin will be flushed and slightly red, feeling similar to a sunburn. These effects will last for the first 24 to 36 hours. Our clients have said although there is some skin tenderness, there is no major discomfort with the eDermaStamp®. Normal daily activities can be resumed right away, as long as skin is protected from the sun with a high SPF, and only mineral makeup is worn.
